An Italian farm was considering the opportunity to start producing a new citrus fruit imported from Australia, the Fingerlime, whose cost per kg is about 200 €.
Was this really an opportunity? Would this new citrus, not yet available in the Italian distribution, really become a new trend?
For this market survey we have used different methods: first of all the investigation of people’s Google research, discovering that this mythical citrus was in fact increasingly sought by people over time. So we listened to conversations about the fingerlime on social media… and this allowed us to discover that the more interested in it were the chefs, who promoted the fruit and used it in special recipes.
